When we design and develop for a virtual world, often our target is to simulate the natural world. In order to do this successfully, we must master basic concepts of what constitutes our natural world, and gives it the basic scaffolding that we recognize. In other words, in order to make our reality virtual, we must understand the building blocks of reality at a physical level.
The starting point for this understanding should be Newton, and his 3 fundamental laws concerning force. These laws form the basis of physics and mechanics and our understanding of complex motion, and with an understanding of them, we will be able to build immersive programs that simulate our natural, physical reality.
